| Moving a major cultural institution onto an Open Source Web CMS |

10:30 - 11:00 - Theatre A |

The Victoria
and Albert Museum is the world's largest museum of
art and design, housing a permanent collection of over 4.5 million objects. The
V&A selected MySource Matrix as their preferred CMS for their recent
website redesign project, which involved putting their entire collections
database online. The V&A did much of the implementation themselves with
additional implementation and consultancy services being supplied by Squiz.
(nb: the site is due to go live in August).
This talk will focus on the decision making process that the V&A went through in order to choose a CMS and the reasons why they eventually decided upon a supported Open Source option, MySource Matrix. |
| Unfortunately a paper for this presentation is not yet available. |
