Training Workshops 2010
Online Information, in partnership with Euan Semple present their new range of training workshops, Working in the Wired World.Your Trainer: Euan Semple is a well known speaker, trainer and consultant who helps people understand the web. Ten years ago, while working in a senior position at the BBC, Euan was one of the first to introduce what have since become known as social media tools into a large, successful organisation. He has subsequently had four years of unparalleled experience working with organisations such as Nokia, The World Bank and NATO helping them learn how to make the most of this wired-up world of work.
Here are some comments from our delegates who attended the first workshop on 24 February "Euan was very credible, using his real examples from the BBC and his personal social media tools that support his business. I found it educational, insightful and really prectical. The topics were all relevant and the cross section of people attending interesting. A good flexible agenda that really worked well" "I thought your workshop was excellent. I've attended a workshop before on the topic of online/wired PR and it wasn't a patch on yours which I found full of useful info and delivered in an interesting way." "Euan was very good at encouraging as well as accommodating, being flexible enough to let the increasingly animated discussion take any direction. The result was a lively, fascinating day that took us through the different types of social networking tools and technologies-from blogs to wikis to RSS. The day covered a multitude of aspects: how to get started, what possible contexts to use these tools in, how to deal with the seemingly unavoidable trolls, how to build a following, and many others. I found all this extremely fascinating as it was the first time that I had the opportunity to learn about the whole subject area in context and had the time to reflect on tools' utility and how they might complement each other."
You've heard of Twitter and Facebook and have maybe even signed up and had a look, but what's the point? How can you use them to make yourself and your organisation more effective? This workshop is for those wanting a deeper understanding of social media and the exciting developments currently happening on the web. It will appeal to everyone interested in the organisational use of these tools whether for business, education or third sector work. It is aimed at both practitioners and those managing them. Who should attend? This workshop will be of interest to:
