IWR Information Professional of the Year Award 2011

Each year at the Online Information conference, IWR awards the coveted title of Information Professional of the Year and we would like you to help us find this year's worthy winner by submitting a nomination.

This international award offers recognition to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the profession in the past 12 months. Your nomination could be for an individual who has demonstrated best practice, led extensive project work or developed an information resource for an organisation and its users and clients.

This year's winner will join the ranks of previous winners including last year's winner Dave Pattern, Library Systems Manager, University of Huddersfield and Hazel Hall, Director of the Centre for Social Informatics, Edinburgh Napier University, who won the award in 2008 award.

The prestigious award will be presented at the Online Information Conference which takes place from 29 November - 1 December 2011 at the Olympia Conference Centre, London and the award itself will include a free delegate place at this year's conference.

The award is judged by myself as editor of IWR in close consultation with a panel of previous winners.

To nominate yourself or a colleague for the award, please email me Peter Williams

The entry giving reasons why the nominee should win the award should be no more than 250 words and include name, job title and achievements plus contact details for the candidate and nominee. Starting thinking now- the closing date is Monday November 7 2011.

I look forward to receiving your nominations.
